īģŋThe twelfth installment of the Indian Premier League is all set to begin from the 23rd of March, 2019. Fans all over are excited for one of the most awaited cricket tournaments of the year. Let's take a look at the head to head statistics of KKR vs RCB.
A heated rivalry has existed between KKR and RCB right from the first match of the edition itself where the RCB were inflicted with perhaps the most humiliating loss ever I'm the history of IPL. KKR crushed RCB defeating them by a humongous 140 runs on the inaugural match of the inaugural edition of IPL on 18th of April 2008 at Bangalore.
After that day, these two teams have met for a total of 22 more times which have all ended in heated competitions. If you are looking for passion in IPL, there is no other match than RCB vs KKR where you will find it. There have been sparks flying all around every time these two teams meet at the center. The infamous fight between the then KKR captain Gautam Gambhir and the current RCB captain Virat Kohli, stands testimony to the above statements.
You can now check the updated IPL points table here.
Out of the 23 encounters so far KKR have undoubtedly emerged on the top winning 14 matches while RCB have managed to win only 9. The last encounter between these two teams took place on 29th of April last year which resulted in a KKR victory by 6 wickets.
While RCB is captained by the current Indian National team captain, Virat Kohli, the current captain of the Knights is wicket-keeper-batsman, Dinesh Karthik, who has recently gained a reputation of a T20 finisher especially after the last ball-6 victory of Bangladesh in the Nidahasa Trophy last year.
