Rajasthan Royals (RR) captain Sanju Samson took a brilliant review to dismiss Mumbai Indians (MI) opener Ishan Kishan caught behind in Indian Premier League (IPL) 2024 match at Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Monday (April 22). Kishan departed for a three-ball duck.
The dismissal came in the second over of MI's innings. Sandeep Sharma bowled a brilliant outswinger and Kishan hardly used its feet as the ball took a faint edge and carried to the wicketkeeper.
The on-field umpire didn't look interested but Samson looked confident and made a successful review to reduce MI to 6-2 in just 1.3 overs, with both openers back in the hut. The wicketkeeper also took a sky-high catch to send back Rohit Sharma early off Trent Boult in the first over.

Ishan Kishan hasn't been consistent for MI ahead of the 2024 T20 World Cup. The left-hander has managed 192 runs in eight games at a strike rate of 168.42, including one half-century.
At the time of writing, MI were 50/3 after seven overs, with Mohammad Nabi and Tilak Varma at the crease.
MI make two changes against RR in IPL 2024
Mumbai Indians made two changes as captain Hadik Pandya won the toss and chose to bat first against Rajasthan Royals. Nehal Wadhera and Piyush Chawla were drafted into the playing XI for Romario Shephard and Shreyas Gopal. Nuwan Thushara was named in the impact players' list.
At the toss, Pandya said:
"We are gonna bat first, looks like a good wicket, we didn't see much dew in the last couple of days hence the decision to bat first. We got three changes - Nuwan, Wadhera and Piyush Chawla come in. Shepherd, Madhwal, and Shreyas Gopal go out."
Meanwhile, RR made a solitary change as Kuldeep Sen made way for Sandeep Sharma.
As far as the point table is concerned, the Royals are placed at the top with six wins in the first seven games. They beat Mumbai by six wickets at Wankhede earlier this season.
On the other hand, MI are seventh with three victories in seven matches so far.
