Scoring a century in a T20 game is a massive achievement in itself, whereas taking a hattrick along with it is somewhat rare and incredible. Two of the players of the Kolkata Knight Riders recently achieved this incredible feat of not only scoring a century but also picking up a hat-trick in the same T20 game. These two Knights who hold this rare record are as follows:

#1 Andre Russell

St Kitts & Nevis Patriots v Jamaica Tallawahs - 2018 Hero Caribbean Premier League (CPL) Tournament Play-Off 2

Andre Russell was handed the captaincy of the Jamaica Tallawahs for the Caribbean Premier League 2018. The Caribbean allrounder's first match as the skipper of the Tallawahs was a memorable one. The Tallawahs skipper on his comeback to the CPL picked up a hattrick and scored a match-winning ton against the Trinbago Knight Riders on the 10th of August, 2018.

Russel had won the toss and elected to bat first. The Trinbago Knight Riders were fresh from their 100 run win against the St.Lucia Stars. They started off well as they smashed the Tallawah's bowlers including the skipper Russell all over the park. Lynn and Munro put on a 98 run stand for the second wicket which set the Trinbago Knight Riders on course to amass a huge total.

The Tallawahs skipper had been smashed for 27 runs in 2 overs before bowling the final over. In the first ball of the final over he was smashed for a 4 by McCullum who scored a quickfire 56 off 27 balls before getting dismissed by the Tallawahs skipper in the second ball of the final over. Following McCullum's dismissal, Russell dismissed his counterpart Dwayne Bravo in the next ball and was on a hattrick when Dinesh Ramdin came out to bat.

He bowled a short delivery which got him his hattrick as Ramdin got caught at deep midwicket. Russell picked up his hattrick as the Trinbago Knight Riders set a huge total of 224 for the Tallawahs to chase.

The Tallawahs got off to a shaky start as they lost half their side at the score of 41 for 5 in 6.1 overs. The Knight Riders looked on course for a huge win. Russell was dropped off the first ball he faced which proved to be a blessing in disguise.

From there on there was no stopping the skipper who smashed the fastest century in the Carribean Premier League in 40 balls bettering his own record by 2 balls. He put on a 161 run stand with Ewin Lewis for the 6th wicket as they took the Tallawahs through to a memorable 4 wicket win. Russel scored an unbeaten 121 off 49 balls and was adjudged the Man of the Match for his all-round show.
