Valheim is an open-world survival video game developed by Iron Gate Studio in Sweden. The game, published by Coffee Stain Studios, is played in third person. A survival and exploration game for 1-10 players set in the Viking era. To survive as fallen Vikings, players must craft tools, build shelters, and fight enemies. Players must gather natural resources from all over the world, either by foraging, hunting, mining, or farming. These materials are used to construct shelters, create tools and equipment, and forge weapons. The game employs a skill-level system that can reach up to a level of 100. The main goal of the game is to kill the five bosses scattered throughout the game's biomes.
Trivia: The term "Valheim" refers to a fictional tenth world within Norse mythology.
