Lando Norris Race Engineer

Lando Norris is a British racing driver who competes in the Formula 1 Racing Championship. He will be driving for the McLaren F1 Racing team for the 2025 season and was the runner-up in the F1 drivers’ championship in 2024. With the McLaren racing team, Norris won five Grand Prix races and is among the strongest contenders for the 2025 F1 drivers’ championship title.

Born in Bristol and raised in Glastonbury, England. Norris started his racing career while driving karts at age seven. He got his first taste of victory in 2015, when he won his first title at the MSA Formula Championship with Carlin Racing. In 2016, he debuted in F1 with McLaren as a test and simulator driver. In 2020, he became the senior driver for the team and won 5 races, with his last win in the 2025 Australian Grand Prix.

Lando Norris' Race Engineer

William Joseph is Lando Norris' race engineer for the 2025 FIA World Formula 1 Championship, appointed by the McLaren F1 team. He is a British motorsport engineer and is also the race engineering director for the McLaren F1 Racing Team. Before being a race engineer for Lando Norris, Joseph was the trackside engineer for the McLaren Racing team.

Joseph graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2006 with a master's degree in aerothermal and aerospace engineering, according to his LinkedIn profile. He began his engineering career by working as a rear suspension engineer for McLaren in 2007. By 2012, he was promoted to trackside race engineer and got a chance to work with legendary drivers like Lewis Hamilton, Sergio Perez, and Fernando Alonso

From January 2012 to October 2017, Joseph worked as a race team performance engineer until the end of 2017, when he was promoted to a senior race engineer for Lando Norris. With 17 years of experience with the British racing team, he was appointed as the director of race engineering, with other aspects of McLaren’s racing operations.
