Daniel "Danny" Willett, an English professional golfer, was born on October 3, 1987. He turned professional in 2008, and the following year, he joined the European Tour. However, he had to wait for his first pro win on the Euro Tour until the BMW International Open in 2012. He joined the PGA Tour in 2015 and won the 2016 Masters Tournament. Further, in April 2016, he achieved his career-high world ranking of No. 9, as per the Official World Golf Rankings (OWGR). As of March 2025, he ranked world number 378, with eight professional wins.

Willett also represented England in the 2013 World Cup, as well as the 2016 EurAsia Cup and Ryder Cup. Even as an amateur golfer, he represented England at the 2005 European Boys Team Championship and Europe at the 2008 Bonallack Trophy. Moreover, he has represented Great Britain and Ireland at the 2005 Jacques Leglise Trophy and 2007 Walker Cup. He attended Jacksonville State University and was named a medalist in the 2007 OVC Championship. Between 2007 and 2008, he won four amateur titles, including the English Amateur.
