Matthew Brandyn Wolff is one of the most prolific golfers in the world. He hails from the United States and currently participates in the Liv Tour. He was born on April 14, 1999, and goes by his stage name Matthew Wolff. He earned the 2019 NCAA Division personal title and was an NCAA All-American while at Oklahoma State University. In addition, he won the 2019 3M Open for the first time on the PGA Tour.

Matthew spent his childhood in a Jewish household in Agoura Hills, California. He attended Westlake High School and started his golf career at the Lake Lindero Country Club's Lindero Kids Summer Sports Camp.

Matthew turned professional in June 2019 and made his debut at the Travelers Championship after finishing second in the 2017 US Junior Amateur Golf Championship.

At the 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota, on July 7, 2019, Matthew won for the first time on the PGA Tour after shooting a final-round 65 at six under par to defeat Collin Morikawa and Bryson DeChambeau by one stroke and finish at 21 under par overall.

Matthew joined LIV Golf in June 2022; however, the PGA Tour later suspended him after he competed in his maiden tournament. Since making his LIV Golf debut, he has finished in the top ten three times, most notably by placing tied for second in Bedminster, two shots behind the champion Henrik Stenson.

According to golf.com, Matthew's mentor, George Ganka, said, "He has always been especially good at tackling things he can control. Their split fell just slightly outside that category."

According to golf.com, Matthew stated, "I completely get why people are sad when their parents split up. But my life didn't change that much. I had the same friends. I went to high school and saw them, and it was fine. There are little things that change, though. There is a bunch of little stuff that isn't quite the same."
