Samuel "Sam" Burns is an American professional golfer born on July 23, 1996. He went to Calvary Baptist Academy, where he won three individual state titles. Between 2014 and 2017, he secured six amateur wins and competed in the PGA Tour’s 2017 Barbasol Championship, finishing tied for sixth. He graduated from Louisiana State University, turned professional in 2017, and initially played on the Web.com Tour (now the Korn Ferry Tour). At the 2021 Valspar Championship, Burns claimed his first PGA Tour win.

As of February 2025, Burns has six professional victories, including a win at the 2023 WGC event over Cameron Young. His career-high Official World Golf Ranking (OWGR) is No. 9, achieved in May 2022, and as of February 2025, he is ranked No. 25.
