One week after the U.S. Open at TPC River Highlands in Cromwell, Connecticut, is reserved for the Travelers Championship, the eighth and final signature event of 2024. The event was founded in 1952 and was formerly known as the Insurance City Open. It was renamed the Greater Hartford Open in 1967 and remained so until 2003.
The Buick Championship was the new title for three years before it was renamed the Travelers Championship in 2007.
