Schauffele qualified for the 2015 Web.com Tour Qualifying Tournament in the fall of 2015, having turned professional in June. He placed second at Southern Dunes Golf Club in Maricopa, Arizona, during the first round. He proceeded to win the second stage at Oak Valley GC in Beaumont, California, and in the end, he just about made it onto the Web.com Tour after finishing in a tie for 45th place in the finals in Florida.


Schauffele completed a full season (23 tournaments) on the Web.com Tour in 2016. After placing 26th on the regular-season money list, he narrowly missed out on a 2017 PGA Tour card worth $1,000.00. However, he went on to earn a card via the Web.com Tour Finals, placing 15th on the Finals money list. At the 2018 Open Championship and the 2019 Masters, he tied for second place.


Schauffele won the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, the Travelers Championship, and the Genesis Scottish Open in 2022. At the 2022 Presidents Cup, Schauffele won three of his four games and lost one to earn a spot on the American team. He competed for the United States in the 2023 Ryder Cup, which was held in September 2023 at the Marco Simone Golf and Country Club in Guidonia, Rome, Italy. The European team prevailed 16.5–11.5, and Schauffele won his Sunday singles match against Nicolai Højgaard to finish 1-3–0.
