Hailing from Victorville, California, Ryan "King Ry" was born on August 8, 1998, and is a professional boxer. Standing five feet, eight and a half inches tall, he fights with an orthodox stance and is known for his agile fighting style. Garcia made his pro debut in 2016 against Edgar Meza, whom he knocked out in the very first round.

The California native's most commercial bout came against Gervonta Davis in April 2023, which ended up being his first pro loss. He fought Devin Haney in April 2024 and clinched a majority decision victory after knocking Haney down three times. But the victory was later overturned to a no contest after Garcia tested positive for the banned compound ostarine, which resulted in a one-year ban from competing, along with a $1.1 million fine.
