Gaining heaps of XP increases your level, making you potent and unlocking various in-game content. With the arrival of the Scorched Earth DLC, there have been various additions to the game, and unlocking them requires you to reach higher levels. However, the DLC also brings new beasts that you can use to level up extremely fast in Ark Survival Ascended.

Slaying a beast gives a large XP to the slayer; the stronger the beast, the more XP one gets. Currently, the fastest way to farm XP in Scorched Earth is by slaying a Wyvern by hand. As impossible as killing these large fire-breathing creatures by hand may sound, you can do it using a trap, a potent weapon, and a fast-flying tame.

Start by building a confinement made out of pillars, and you’ll need a lot of them, so make sure to craft them beforehand. The trap must be enclosed from all sides except for one, as this is where Ark Survival Ascended's Wyvern will get in from. Make sure the pillars have enough space for you to get out of them, but not wide enough that the beast can escape.

These traps also need a roof, as the creature can fly off. There can be instances where it doesn’t work; in such cases, you must fix it or build a new one.

Once the structure has been placed, you need to get on your flying tame, preferably a Lymantria, and get the dragon agro on you. Once it starts chasing you, you must enter the trap from the open side and escape from the other.

If you do it correctly, the dragon will chase you inside the trap and get stuck. You can knock it down with a rifle after it is trapped. This is where the part about killing it by hand comes in; once the beast is down, equip a Hatchet and kill it. When you kill the beast this way, you get a Melee XP buff for killing it with your hand.

Remember that when trying to enter through the pillars, you must stay extremely low; this increases the chances of the Wyvern entering.
