After becoming Jonin, Fuguki joined the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. He was sent on a mission with the other Swordsmen during the Third Shinobi War period to bring down the Konoha Shinobi group, which consists of Might Guy, Ebisu, and Genma Shiranui. Later, Might Duy came to their rescue and was able to save them but sacrificed himself.
Later, Fuguki ordered his assistant Kisame Hoshigaki to act as a bodyguard for his teammates in the secret Cypher Division. He said that the codes, which were crucial to the village, were far more valuable than his fellow soldiers' lives. With these goals in mind, Kisame decided to kill his own comrades when they were in danger of being captured by Ibiki Morino during a mission to protect such important information.
Later, when Kisame got to know that Fuguki was the one who leaked the information about his village, Kisame killed Fuguki and left his body hanging on chains. Then, Kisame took Samehada for himself, joining the Seven Swordsmen and rising to the position of Yagura's direct assistant and Madara Uchiha's associate.
Under Kabuto Yakushi's orders, Pakura and Gari call forth the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, the reincarnation of a previous generation, in the battle with the Third Division with the purpose of overwhelming the enemy. Fuguki cannot recover his old blade from Mangetsu Hozuki because it was in Killer B’s possession.
Fuguki enters the fight while covered in a dense mist, yet starts a silent massacre, utilizing his hair to shoot needle barrages at his enemies.
The cloud lifts with Zabuza's defeat, and he appears to be backing away. He is seen fighting the Third Division again the next day. Using the lightning-infused Kubikiribocho, Kakashi Hatake can pierce Fuguki's stomach, leaving him helpless and giving Sai the chance to finish sealing him before his body heals.
Later, when the Impure World Reincarnation jutsu was made available, Fuguki's spirit was probably sent back to the afterlife with the rest.
At first, Fuguki Suikazan seemed like he cared for his village, but later it was revealed that he was a fraud and leaked the secret information about his village to his enemies.
Fuguki was the tallest member of the Seven Swordsmen of the Mist and had shark-like teeth which were very sharp. He had dark eyes and long red spiky hair, which he used to pierce through his opponents. On his face, he had six green stripes. He was dressed in the typical Kirigakure striped jumpsuit, a black outfit, a white cloak/robe, with Samehada draped over his shoulder by a wide belt with a knot. Like all the swordsmen of the previous generation, he had bandages loosely wrapped around his neck. He also wore the Kirigakure forehead protector and the traditional shinobi footwear.
Fuguki was one of Kirigakure's most powerful shinobi and one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist. When facing the Third Division of the Allied Shinobi Forces while under the influence of his former comrade Zabuza Momochi's Hiding in Mist Technique, Fuguki, like the other members, was also capable of using Silent Killing, demonstrating that he, despite his size, had a high level of stealth.
Fuguki could also harden his hair such that it shot a large number of senbon-like hair or stretch it out to make spear-like hair so that he could pierce many opponents at once. Fuguki could absorb chakra from his enemies with the help of his great sword Samehada, which was regarded as the most terrifying of the seven blades. He probably had a lot of chakra stored away to satisfy Samehada.
