Very little is known about Kazan’s past and childhood, as his heritage is still shrouded in mystery. Due to his limited appearances in the series, close to nothing is known about his lineage or background, other than the fact that he was a shinobi of the Hidden Hot Waters Village.
Kazan played a significant role in the movie. He had been recruited by Mui, the master of Hozuki Castle, to do this so that Mui could utilize Naruto. He assumed the identity of Naruto Uzumaki and murdered jonin from Hidden Stone Village and Hidden Cloud Village as well as attempted to kill the Fourth Raikage.
Later, Kazan sneaked into Hozuki Castle and was causing a lot of trouble for the guards. This was explained by the fact that they had taken his son hostage. Mui and a group of others wearing masks later encountered Kazan on a cliff, but before Kazan could fight them, they paralyzed him, sending him tumbling into the sea below.
Mui had saved Kazan from the fall, as well as Kazan's son, it was later discovered. Later, Kazan would fight with Mui, even assuming his identity. Mui reluctantly accepted Kazan's assistance when the council of disguised individuals attempted to prevent him from squandering the one wish provided by the Box of Ultimate Bliss. Kazan intervened and stopped them. When Mui was killed by his son Muku, Kazan went to attack the boy, but Muku slashed Kazan in half with his bare hands before he could strike.
Due to his lack of appearances in the series and any related information, almost nothing is known about Kazan’s personality. From his status and limited appearance, it can be deduced that Kazan had a strong sense of self-worth and was proud of his prowess. He does have a feeling of loyalty and paying back debts, as evidenced by the fact that he obeyed Mui's commands and those of his four council members to save his kid while he was being kept captive by the five and fought by Mai's side till his last breath.
Kazan was a bald-headed, rather small man with black eyes, a brown goatee, and a beard. Under a yellow, sleeveless jacket that was fastened by a wide sash, he was dressed in a long-sleeved green kimono shirt with white detailing. Along with what appeared to be a scarf around his neck, he was also sporting a pair of black slacks, soft Chinese shoes, and a beard.
Kazan was a skilled shinobi of the Hidden Hot Waters Village and is quite dependable. Kazan was known as Hundred Transformations Kazan because he was skilled with the transformation technique and used it to disguise himself as anyone.
He was also proficient with kusarigama, a pair of traditional Japanese weapons made of a sickle hooked to a chain, which he used to battle A to a standstill while demonstrating exceptional speed and agility.
Apart from the movie, Kazan also appears in the light novel based on the movie with the same title, “Naruto the Movie: Blood Prison.”
