Palmer posted a 4.33-second 40-yard dash, which happened to be the third fastest sprint of the entire Combine.Palmer started his college career with the LSU Tigers, as the team recruited him out of Kentwood High Magnet School. Palmer moved to LSU partly because of the proximity to his High School, as they were both in the same state. He appeared for the Tigers for three seasons but never got the game time he so desperately craved. He only had 41 receptions at LSU, putting up less than 500 TDs and six touchdowns. After his third season with the Tigers, he transferred to the University of Nebraska–Lincoln, becoming Nebraska's number-one wide receiver. He put up a stat line of 71 receptions, 1,043 receiving yards, and nine touchdowns in his first season for the team. He declared for the 2023 NFL Draft after his sole season in Nebraska.
