Washington Commanders fantasy football outlook for 2024

The Washington Commanders selected LSU's Jayden Daniels, the 2023 Heisman Trophy winner, with their second overall pick in this year's draft.

The quarterback had one of the most productive seasons in NCAA history during his final year of collegiate football. He passed for 3,812 yards, 40 touchdowns, and four interceptions, in addition to gaining 1,134 yards and 10 scores on the ground.

The dual-threat quarterback will now try to replicate that success with players like Terry McLaurin and Jahan Dotson in Washington's offense. He benefited from having two of the most explosive weapons in college football, in Malik Nabers and Brian Thomas Jr.

Daniels appears almost certain to rank among the top 10 quarterbacks in fantasy football in any given season thanks to his dual-threat potential. This should be more than enough to propel him early.

Jahan Dotson will be looking to bounce back after a second season that saw him amass 49 receptions, 518 yards and 4 touchdowns on 83 targets. He is another member of Washington's offense that can be enticing from a fantasy football perspective.
