Biggest Pro Bowl 2022 snubs
Here are five NFL players who were snubbed from the 2022 Pro Bowl.
NFC Tight End: Rob Gronkowski, Tampa Bay Buccaneers
Rob Gronkowski is one of the best all-round tight ends in the NFL. He is in the top five among tight ends in the NFC in receiving yards and is also tied for the lead above all of them with six touchdown receptions. Kyle Pitts, who was selected to the Pro Bowl, has only one touchdown this season. Gronkowski is also one of the best run blocking tight ends in the NFL, which helps his Pro Bowl case as well.
AFC Safety: Jordan Poyer, Buffalo Bills
Jordan Poyer deserved to be one of the safeties chosen for the 2022 Pro Bowl. He is tied for the most interceptions among safeties in the entire NFL. Compared to Tyrann Mathieu, who made the Pro Bowl, Poyer has more interceptions, passes defended, solo tackles and total tackles. Poyer also has more interceptions than Derwin James, who also made the Pro Bowl.
AFC Safety: Justin Simmons, Denver Broncos
Justin Simmons is another safety in the AFC who was snubbed from the Pro Bowl. Simmons has more interceptions, passes defended, sacks and tackles than Tyrann Mathieu. He also has more interceptions and passes defended than Derwin James. Simmons and Poyer each have more interceptions individually than Mathieu and James have combined.
