The Lions dominated over the Cowboys in Week 6

The Detroit Lions destroyed the Dallas Cowboys on Sunday. The Cowboys' 47-9 loss is one of the biggest defeats Jerry Jones' team has suffered at home. With the win, Dan Campbell's team did not lose ground in the NFC North, with all teams currently playing at a high level.

Last season, the game between them was a tough contest. This season, it was an absolute massacre.

Here are five takeaways from the game.

5 takeaways from Detroit Lions' victory over Dallas Cowboys on Week 6

#1 - Jared Goff is at the highest level of his career

Goff has played in Super Bowls and multiple conference championships and has even been touted as an MVP player many times. But he has never played as well as he's doing this season, with perfect placement and excellent decision-making when throwing the ball.

#2 - Jameson Williams has been a great surprise

The Lions used a first-round pick in Jameson Williams in 2022 knowing that he would be a lost cause for that season, and he turned into a major disappointment in 2023. However, in his third year, he has turned into a star, with his quickness and agility making him an instant starter. Detroit is very lucky to have him and Amon-Ra St. Brown together.

#3 - The Cowboys need to find some linebackers

Every play made by the visitors in the middle of the field turned into a first down. With Leighton Vander Esch's retirement and Micah Parsons turning into a full-time EDGE, the linebacker position has been critical for the team and its starters are awful.

#4 - Aidan Hutchinson will be a major loss for the season

Before his injury, no player had a pressure rate better than Hutchinson's 42% in Week 6. But he fractured his tibia and is out for the season, and it's impossible to say how much the Lions will miss him. He was a strong candidate for DPOY prior to the injury.

#5 - Dak Prescott needs to justify his deal

There's no point in paying $60 million to a quarterback if he can't elevate the rest of the roster when the team isn't playing well. Prescott finished the game with no touchdowns and two interceptions. He's a part of the current problem.
