Aaron Jones will have the most awkward homecoming on Sunday when the Minnesota Vikings visit the Green Bay Packers. He had been the leading rusher at Lambeau for seven seasons (2017-2023) before being ditched for Josh Jacobs.

He did not take long to find his next home. He moved to Minneapolis to fill a massive need. And now he and his successor are facing off for the first time. So, who is the better fantasy investment?

Aaron Jones has been prolific in two of the first three games of 2024 so far. In his Vikings debut, he rushed 14 times for 94 yards and a touchdown in a lopsided win at the New York Giants.

He was contained to just nine carries for 32 yards by the San Francisco 49ers, but the team still won thanks to Sam Darnold's two passing touchdowns and Will Reichard's three field goals. But it was in the next game that he truly exploded.

Jones embarrassed the Houston Texans defense with 102 yards from 19 carries. He was also one of Darnold's scorers in the air, catching an eight-yard touchdown within the last two minutes of the first quarter.

The Packers have at least a few players who can stop him, like defensive linemen Kenny Clark and Rashan Gary and cornerback Jaire Alexander, so how he fares against them will determine his true fantasy worth.

Josh Jacobs, meanwhile, has had a mixed performance in 2024 so far.

True, he has more yards (278) than his peer; however, he has also yet to score. His best game was in Week 2 when he destroyed the Indianapolis Colts with 151 yards from 32 rushes.

Against the Tennessee Titans, however, he was rather limited, with only 43 yards from 14 carries. But maybe he did not have to be dominant when Malik Willis was putting up the performance of his life.

The Vikings' front seven is among the most anonymous in the NFC, so Jacobs should have the opportunity to produce.
