Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is likely going to pack his bag this off-season as the veteran is expected to be traded.

Rodgers has been open about the possibility of being traded, and spoke about it a lot this weekend at the AT&T Pebble Beach Pro-Am golf tournament.

While many have him rumored to be with the Las Vegas Raiders and New York Jets, analyst and former NFL punter Pat McAfee linked Rodgers to the Dallas Cowboys.

McAfee said:

“He said I’m not going to San Fran then he hit the ball. Does that mean he’s going to Dallas? Stephen Jones said they would like to extend Dak Prescott. I believe Jerry said they’re looking at a potential quarterback … drafting a quarterback. Jerry Jones said the Cowboys are committed to drafting a quarterback. He said he should have committed to drafting one every year, years ago.

McAfee added that Jerry Jones welcomes the idea of drafting a quarterback every year and alluded to the fact that Dak isn't due any guaranteed money after 2023 and could potentially be gone. He said:

“Now remember, Jerry Jones has been running the Cowboys draft 55 years. So, him saying now I’m drafting a quarterback every single year, and I should have done this years ago is awesome, fantastic. He’s like over the years this is what I have learned.
"It is an interesting whole turn and series of events though because what Stephen’s saying I think is a make good for what Jerry said to Dak and Dak’s people, but Dak has zero guaranteed money on the books after 2023.”

Green Bay Packers reportedly won't trade Aaron Rodgers to an NFC team... or could they?

While McAfee pegged the Cowboys as a surprise team to land Rodgers, the Packers reportedly won't trade Aaron Rodgers to an NFC team per Adam Schefter.

This would derail any hopes of Rodgers joining the Cowboys and would confirm that he is not going to San Fran. Rodgers' former teammate Davante Adams liked the tweet this weekend, which claimed that Rodgers would be a Raider.

If the reports prove to be true, Aaron Rodgers will more than likely end up in the AFC unless an NFC team blows the team away with a big trade offer.
