Aaron Rodgers has had quite a few arguments with the media throughout his NFL career, but none of them compare to his beef with insider Ian Rapoport. The four-time NFL MVP, who is expected to be traded to the New York Jets, recently took issue with how Rapoport covered him in the offseason.

Last month, Rodgers went after Rapoport in his weekly appearance on "The Pat McAfee Show." The quarterback asserted that the NFL insider had zero insight into his mindset or inner circle.

"Let me just reiterate one more time: There’s an inner circle, and in my inner circle, nobody talks to Ian Rapoport, to Adam Schefter or to any of those people. So if you’re one of those people who’s talking to those people, it’s a great reminder to you: You’re not in the inner circle.”

The Super Bowl XLV MVP said Rapoport and Schefter did a good job overall, but lacked when it came to covering news about the Packers quarterback.

“I think Adam Schefter and Ian Rapoport are really good at their jobs but when it comes to me they don’t know s–t."

Ian Rapoport previously reported that Aaron Rodgers would start his darkness retreat less than 24 hours after the end of Super Bowl LVII. Rapoport noted that if Rodgers wanted to be traded by the Green Bay Packers, the team would help him move on.

Ian Rapoport responded to Aaron Rodgers' comments

The NFL Network insider made an appearance on the "Tiki and Tierney" radio show and responded to Aaron Rodgers' comments. Rapoport explained that he was just doing his job and that he didn't mind if someone took offense.

Rapoport said:

"You want to be right--you want to be first--all that stuff, and then whatever happens with the info, I sort of never mind. I’ve never minded being in the crosshairs of anyone, especially when it’s just because of me doing my job."

The core problem apparently lies in how the media reported on Rodgers' darkness retreat. Rapoport was not the only insider who covered the news, but was singled out by Rodgers nonetheless. Time will tell if this feud between the future Hall of Famer and one of the best NFL reporters in the business will come to an end.
