AFC East: Buffalo Bills trade Stevie Johnson to San Francisco 49ers

As some speculated, the Buffalo Bills have done away with their veteran wide receiver, Stevie Johnson, trading him to the San Francisco 49ers for a conditional fourth round pick, which can become a third.

The news was first reported by ESPN’s Adam Schefter.

As Schefter also noted, the Bills essentially traded a 2015 first rounder for Sammy Watkins, given the latest developments. Is it still too rich of a price? We shall see – as Buffalo seemingly shifts into win-now mode.

Stevie Johnson played in 12 games in 2013, accumulating just under 600 yards on 52 receptions, and three touchdowns. During his six seasons with the Bills, he gained a reputation as a Darrelle Revis kryptonite.

The Bills wide receiver depth chart now starts like this: Sammy Watkins, Robert Woods, Marquise Goodwin
