Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers is currently considering his NFL future. Whether that lies in Wisconsin or elsewhere, there is no doubt that the list of teams vying for his signature will be a long one.
At this stage of the season, coaching interviews are taking place everywhere, but one that has piqued the curiosity is the New York Jets' interview of former Denver Broncos head coach Nathaniel Hackett to be the leading man on offense, per Diana Russini of ESPN.com.

Why is this interesting and what does it have to do with Rodgers? Well, the pair have a special connection in that Hackett was the Packers' offensive coordinator when Rodgers won back-to-back MVPs.
Due to this news, many have jumped to the conclusion that the four-time MVP could link up with Hackett in New York. That wouldn't have been on anyone's bingo card.
With Rodgers and Hackett, Green Bay had three straight 13-3 seasons, with the quarterback winning two MVPs. Coincidence? Probably not.
So, could Rodgers move to New York and link up with his former offensive coordinator? The answer is likely no as the Jets do not have that many offensive weapons for Rodgers to utilize, but they have a playoff-caliber defense.
This is something to watch for sure.
Could the Jets land Rodgers in 2023?
One of the most frustrating things for Jets fans this year was the displays from its quarterbacks, most notably Zach Wilson. The former No.2 overall pick had a turbulent year.
So, could New York turn to Rodgers as Wilson continues to develop? Given that Wilson said he would make life hell in every practice for any quarterback who signs with the Jets, we can't imagine it working out too well.
It is certainly the biggest problem area for the Jets, given how the team improved this season to be within a whisker of a playoff berth. Adding the four-time MVP winner could be smart business. Even with his huge contract.
We will likely not know what Rodgers' intentions are for a while, but if Hackett is successful in becoming the Jets' offensive coordinator, then acquiring Rodgers might be a little easier.
