Let's take a look at Josh Allen, Ty Johnson and Dawuane Smoot's availability.
Josh Allen's injury status
According to CBS Sports, Josh Allen suffered a hand injury during the Week 1 victory over the Arizona Cardinals. Allen sustained the injury in the fourth quarter when he landed on his non-throwing hand while jumping over Budda Baker as Justin Jones tried to stop him from getting into the end zone. Allen remained in the matchup with his hand taped.
Allen's injury was a cause for concern among the Bills fanbase due to his importance to their offense. However, Buffalo Bills coach Sean McDermott told reporters that Allen has been cleared to practice and will play on Thursday against the Mike McDaniel-coached Miami Dolphins.
Ty Johnson's injury status
According to CBS Sports, Ty Johnson was listed as a limited participant in Buffalo's Monday practice. Johnson left the Cardinals game with a knee injury.
However, the rusher has a chance of playing against the Dolphins on Thursday night. His participation in training or otherwise before the crunch matchup will determine whether he suits up or not.
However, if Johnson is unable to play, then James Cook and Ray Davis are expected to take over Buffalo's backfield work.
Dawuane Smoot's injury status
A toe injury prevented Dawuane Smoot from playing in Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals. According to Sean McDermott, the defensive end is currently leaning toward missing the second game of the regular season.
Expect Von Miller and Casey Toohill to see increased work if Smoot misses the Miami Dolphins matchup.
