The Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants presented a duel between two hurt teams trying to navigate the rest of the 2024 NFL season without the quarterbacks who started the campaign for them. While Dak Prescott is out for the season with a hamstring injury, Daniel Jones asked to be released after being demoted to QB4.
They came from different results last week, with the Giants losing 30-7 against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Cowboys beating the Washington Commanders 34-26. AT&T Stadium was the venue for an intriguing matchup in the second duel of the 2024 NFL's Thanksgiving Day.

Dallas Cowboys vs. New York Giants game recap
The Cowboys opened the scoreboard with a 23-yard field goal by Brandon Aubrey at 9:43 in the first quarter. The Giants would respond with a one-yard touchdown run by Tyrone Tracy Jr. after Drew Lock completed a remarkable 28-yard run to put his team on the verge of scoring.
Lock was intercepted after throwing a pass to Devin Singletary. DeMarvion Overshown took the ball home to give the Cowboys the 10-7 lead after Brandon Aubrey secured the extra point.
New York added three points to the scoreboard thanks to a 46-yard Graham Cano kick that cut the lead to 13-10.
The Cowboys started the third quarter on a strong note, scoring a two-yard touchdown from a connection between Cooper Rush and Brandin Cooks. Rico Dowdle would find the end zone with a four-yard rushing touchdown to extend the lead to 27-20, pretty much sealing the deal for the Cowboys. The Giants would make things interesting with a Drew Lock touchdown at 2:18 in the fourth quarter.
This wasn't enough for the New Yorkers, as the Cowboys recovered the ball and after a couple of penalties and a three-yard pass to Brandin Cooks to secure the first down, the Cowboys got the 27-20 win at home to improve to 5-7 while the Giants dropped to 2-10.
