Following his cardiac arrest and subsequent hospitalization, Damar Hamlin was in critical condition. According to NFL insider Dov Kleiman, the injured safety is awake and showing signs of improvement.

After a frightening injury, it appears that Hamlin is trending in the right direction. The safety suffered a cardiac arrest after being struck in the chest by Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins.

The game was postponed as both teams were in shock over what they had just witnessed and the focus was solely on Hamlin's health. It was a sight rarely ever seen on a sports field, and certainly one none of the Bills or Bengals had seen before.
