Tom Brady leaving Tampa, according to Bucs insider

According to Tampa Bay Buccaneers insider JP Peterson, Tom Brady and the Bucs may have finally reached a crossroads.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion has been strongly linked with a Tampa Bay exit this year after a season that seemingly went nowhere despite a spot in the playoffs.

It now appears that Brady might call time on his career in Tampa Bay and has already left the area for good.

"I've got some pretty good intel that he has moved out of Tampa Bay.
"He lives not far from where I live. I have a lot of friends that live on Davis islands where he lives and they told me the moving trucks were there Friday night before the Monday night game. As far as I know, he has moved out of that residence," Peterson said on The Ballfather Podcast.

Therefore, his last game in a Bucs jersey could be the 31-14 loss at the hands of the Dallas Cowboys in the NFC wild-card playoff game earlier this month. The defeat to the Cowboys meant that Brady had failed to advance past the first round of the playoffs for just the fourth time in 20 postseason appearances.

Brady's season, of course, was like no other in a sense.

The superstar quarterback retired, then unretired (seemingly at a personal cost). At the same time, Super Bowl-winning head coach Bruce Arians abruptly decided to take a front-office position, leaving Todd Bowles to run things on the field.

Despite signing the likes of Julio Jones, the Buccaneers offense failed to click for large parts of the season. While their offensive woes were well-documented, Tampa Bay managed to limp to a win in the NFC South with an 8-9 record.

The dire straits of their offense ultimately led to the firing of offensive coordinator Byron Leftwich after their season ended at the hands of the Cowboys. Leftwich had been in the role since 2019.

Tom Brady news and rumors: Will QB step into the broadcasting booth?

As things stand, Brady could yet decide to return for one last dance. Rumors have strongly linked him with a move to the Raiders due to past pursuits and familiarity with Josh McDaniels' system. Tom Brady, however, reportedly has another offer on the table, and a large one at that.

According to multiple reports, he has a 10-year, $375 million offer waiting for him should he choose to ride off into the sunset.

At 46, the thought of retirement could appeal to Tom Brady, though he did not entirely fall off a cliff this year despite multiple injuries across the Bucs roster.

For the record, in the regular season, Brady set the single-season record for pass completions (490), suggesting Father Time could yet be held at bay should the NFL icon choose to prolong his career.
