Free agent running back Ezekiel Elliott has narrowed his list of teams that he wants to join from 2023 to three. After being released by the Dallas Cowboys this off-season, Elliott will test the market for the first time, becoming an unrestricted free agent.

The three teams he is interested in joining are the Cincinnati Bengals, Philadelphia Eagles, and New York Jets.

On Monday, Jets head coach Robert Saleh was asked about the possibility of Ezekiel Elliott joining the team. His response didn't seem like he is optimistic about Elliott joining the team.

Vasquez Tweeted:

"We love our running back room. I'll leave it at that."

The Jets' backfield currently consists of second-year running back Breece Hall and third-year running back Michael Carter.

Hall seemed to be the lead back for the Jets running back group as he had a good rookie season before getting hurt. He recorded 468 rushing yards on 80 attempts while scoring four touchdowns. He also added 19 catches for 218 yards and a touchdown. He tore his ACL and meniscus in week 7 vs. the Denver Broncos.

Carter ran for 402 yards and three touchdowns last season, and as a rookie, he rushed for 639 yards and four touchdowns.

After seeing Elliott's wish list on Friday, Hall responded by shutting down the idea of the team.

Could Ezekiel Elliott possibly join the Cincinnati Bengals this off-season?

ESPN reporter Jeremy Fowler thinks the team has a real interest in bringing in Elliott. He could see the team adding him as a replacement or compliment to Joe Mixon.

Fowler said via NFL Live:

"Talking to some teams and some people around the league, they believe the Bengals here could be looming large. Because I'm told they're looking to add a running back, either through free agency or the draft. Either to pair with Joe Mixon, or if they were to move on from Mixon, they could save nearly $8 million in cap space.''

Elliott had the least productive season of his career last year as he recorded career-lows in rushing yards (876) and averages per carry (3.8.)

The 27-year-old still has some gas left in the tank, and he showed it by scoring 12 touchdowns last season.

It seems as if Ezekiel Elliott will land with either the Jets or Bengals, but it's anyone's guess as to who he signs with.
