Wide receivers provide more Fantasy Football production than any other NFL position as a whole. This is because it is the deepest position by far as all NFL teams use multiple wide receivers as part of their offensive gameplan.
They can also be some of the highest-scoring Fantasy Football players, especially in PPR formats.
While there has never been a shortage of options at wide receivers in Fantasy Football, the field to choose from will be smaller than ever in Week 9 of the 2022 NFL season. This is because six teams, the most teams of any week this year, will be on a bye.

This increases the importance of paying attention to recent performances and direct matchups when deciding which wide receivers to target.

Week 9 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers: Start 'Em
Romeo Doubs - Green Bay Packers vs. Detroit Lions

Romeo Doubs has been inconsistent during his rookie season, but has shown that he can be dominant in the right matchups. He has finished amongst the top 25 in PPR points three times this year, including a season-best WR9 finish in Week 3.
Aaron Rodgers appears to trust Doubs, as he has targeted him seven or more times in four of his last six games. They will have a highly favorable matchup in Week 9 against the Detroit Lions.
They are the only team in the NFL allowing more than 30 points per game and rank towards the bottom in almost every defensive category.
Josh Palmer - Los Angeles Chargers vs. Atlanta Falcons

Josh Palmer has been heavily involved in the Los Angeles Chargers' offensive game plan while filling in for the injured Keenan Allen. He has been targeted eight or more times in three of his last four games.
Allen returned from his injury last week, but reportedly aggravated it and is questionable for Week 9. Mike Williams has also been ruled out, so Palmer should once again be featured in the passing game.
He will be in an ideal situation to thrive against the Atlanta Falcons. They are allowing the second-most Fantasy Football points per game to wide receivers.
Robert Woods - Tennessee Titans vs. Kansas City Chiefs

Robert Woods has been disappointing during the 2022 Fantasy Football season. Despite being the clear top option in the passing game, he has failed to make much of an impact as the Tennessee Titans continue to feature a heavy dose of Derrick Henry in their offensive game plan.
Week 9 will give Woods one of his best opportunities to have a breakout game. The Kansas City Chiefs allow the third-most Fantasy Football points per game to wide receivers. Game scripts against the Chiefs often force opposing teams to throw the ball more than usual, so Woods should be involved this week.
Week 9 Fantasy Football Wide Receivers: Sit 'Em
Allen Robinson II - Los Angeles Rams vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

With the exception of Cooper Kupp and Tyler Higbee, the Los Angeles Rams have been extremely disappointing in the 2022 Fantasy Football season. Newcomer Allen Robinson II was projected to make a major impact with the team this year, but he has mostly failed to do so.
Robinson currently ranks just 59th in total PPR fantasy points this year. He has also finished outside of the top 75 in four of his seven games this season. He is unlikely to turn things around against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. They rank in the top 12 in Fantasy Football points allowed per game to wide receivers.
Rondale Moore - Arizona Cardinals vs. Seattle Seahawks

Rondale Moore bounced back nicely in Week 8 after a disastrous Week 7 performance. When DeAndre Hopkins made his first appearance of the season, Moore was targeted just twice by Kyler Murray. He carved out a bigger role in game two, earning eight targets.
Moore has finished inside the top 40 in fantasy points just once this season, making him difficult to trust outside of favorable matchups. Week 9 isn't one of them. The Seattle Seahawks allow the third-fewest Fantasy Football points per game to wide receivers.
Jakobi Meyers - New England Patriots vs. Indianapolis Colts

Jakobi Meyers has been the lone bright spot in the New England Patriots' passing game. He currently ranks inside the top 30 wide receivers in Fantasy Football. He has finished in the top 40 in PPR points in each of his last five games, including two top-10 finishes.
While Meyers is a decent Fantasy Football option any week, he should be avoided in Week 9, if possible. The Indianapolis Colts are one of only two teams, along with the Denver Broncos, allowing fewer than 20 fantasy points per game to opposing wide receivers.
