Odell Beckham Jr. left stunned with Deebo Samuel getting carted off during 49ers’ win vs Buccaneers

Deebo Samuel left the San Francisco 49ers' dominant win against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers early. He suffered a leg injury and was carted off in the second quarter. The 49ers have already lost their top two quarterbacks and are now without their top wide rece`iver for the time being.

Current free agent Odell Beckham Jr. knows what it feels like to be on that cart and to lose time to a leg injury. He's still trying to battle back from a torn ACL in last season's Super Bowl. He empathized with Samuel on Twitter after the shocking injury:

"I just got chills. My heart goes out to u Deebo. Prayin for u."

Beckham has not yet signed a contract and may not be healthy enough to play this year, so he knows what an injury can do.

Hopefully, the diagnosis isn't that bad, and the 49ers can use one of the most unique weapons in the NFL down the stretch.

Deebo Samuel injury: How long will the 49ers star miss?

Fortunately for both the wide receiver and his team, the worst did not happen with the injury. It was feared that he might have broken his ankle and would be out for the entire season.

However, that is not the case. One NFL reporter stated that it was more than likely a high ankle sprain instead. It's not a good injury to sustain, but it is one that probably won't keep him out for the season.

These typically take three to seven weeks to recover from. If it's a bad sprain, then it's possible that he ends up missing the entirety of the season. However, he may be fortunate enough to be back before the end of the regular season, if it is a high ankle sprain and if the ankle heals quickly.

The 49ers have had awful injury luck this season. Trey Lance left the second game of the season with a season-ending injury. Just last week, Jimmy Garoppolo suffered a foot injury that may cost him the rest of the year, moving them to their third-string quarterback.

Now, without Samuel, their offense continues to suffer. They have one of the best offensive coaches in the league, but even he can only do so much.
