Aaron Donald is a defensive genius, and the Los Angeles Rams defensive tackle knows a thing or two about ragdolling quarterbacks. Donald is one of the NFL's greatest defenders in history and has been incredible for almost a decade.
Unfortunately, for Donald and the Rams, the 2022 season has not gone according to plan. LA needs to be more physical and injuries have stopped the defending Super Bowl champions from fielding their best lineup. As bad luck would have it, Donald suffered an ankle injury last month against the Kansas City Chiefs.
Aaron Donald will not be playing tonight against the Denver Broncos due to the injury. This will be a welcome development for the Broncos, as they need not worry about the Rams' terrifying lynchpin.

Donald is expected to be out for the remainder of the season, as Los Angeles have nothing left to play for in their last three weeks. As such, it would be wise to let Donald recuperate and come back firing on all cylinders in 2023.

Aaron Donald has been a menace to the league since he was drafted in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft. He played a major part in turning the Los Angeles Rams into Super Bowl winners, and the team's defensive unit revolves around him.
According to head coach Sean McVay, Donald is unlikely to play again this season. He has been ruled out for the Week 16 game against the Denver Broncos. It makes sense, as LA have nothing to play for. High up on the Rams' agenda is to ensure Donald returns for next season.
How did Aaron Donald perform this season?
Aaron Donald performed at a typically elite level in the 2022 season. In the early part of the campaign, Donald played like he had the key to the fountain of youth. However, following the season's halfway point, the wheels fell off, and Donald began struggling. His struggles culminated in what appears to be a season-ending ankle injury in a December loss against the Kansas City Chiefs.
The former defensive player of the year has recorded 49 tackles (27 solo and 22 assisted), five sacks and one forced fumble in 11 games this season.
