The San Francisco 49ers picked up a win on Monday Night Football in Week 1 with all eyes on their matchup with Aaron Rodgers' Jets. The main storyline was how the Niners managed to come out on top despite missing Christian McCaffrey, a 1.01 pick in fantasy football this year.
Despite the win, fantasy owners who had Aiyuk on their roster were in for a little bit of disappointment. Aiyuk had just two catches for 28 yards all night with no touchdowns on five targets. Aiyuk didn't appear on the 49ers' injury report ahead of their Week 2 showdown against the Minnesota Vikings which means he will suit up later this afternoon. The only question is whether he can bump up those numbers with McCaffrey once again ruled out.

Aiyuk won't go up against Sauce Gardner today and another week of practice should also benefit the Niners playmaker after he held out for most of training camp to get a new deal. A messy trade request eventually didn't manifest into a move away from San Francisco but the 26-year-old playmaker will have to step up this week given the Niners will likely be without Christian McCaffrey for the foreseeable future.
Week 2 is also a better matchup for Aiyuk since the Vikings aren't a lockdown unit like the Jets. They did dominate the New York Giants in Week 1 but Daniel Jones also contributed to that showing. All things considered, Aiyuk should see more snaps this week.
