The Week 12 loss to the Green Bay Packers plummetted the San Francisco 49ers' hopes of playing meaningful football in January. The Niners came agonizingly close to lifting the Lombardi twice in recent years and the hope was that this would be the year they get over the hill. However, heading into Week 13, their chances stand at a mere 17.22%.
They didn't have Brock Purdy in the 38-10 beatdown at the hands of the Packers but he is expected to make his comeback tonight. Another player the Niners are expected to have for the primetime matchup is Christian McCaffrey.
McCaffrey popped up on the injury report this week but it appears San Francisco just gave its lead running back some rest given how much time he spent recuperating from injury.

Is Christian McCaffrey playing tonight vs Bills?
The Niners have been inconsistent with their injury reports all season. However, they made it clear that McCaffrey wasn't dealing with an injury despite being on the injury report.
McCaffrey is also not expected to be on a pitch count tonight as San Francisco aims to resurrect its hopes of making the playoffs.
San Francisco 49ers vs Buffalo Bills injury report
The battered and bruised 49ers will have to brave the snowy conditions at Highmark Stadium without some contributors.
Star rusher Nick Bosa is out due to a hip and oblique issue along with offensive lineman Aaron Banks (concussion), defensive lineman Jordan Elliott (concussion), defensive back Deommodore Lenoir (knee), offensive tackle Trent Williams (ankle) and linebacker Dre Greenlaw (Achilles).
