Is De'Von Achane playing tonight? Update on Dolphins RB's availability for TNF showdown vs Bills

De'Von Achane had an impressive showing in the Miami Dolphins' first game of the season against the Jacksonville Jaguars. The second-year running back hauled in seven receptions for 76 receiving yards. He also added 24 rushing yards on 10 carries, plus a touchdown from the one-yard line. However, Achane limped off the gridiron on the last play of the contest.

Ahead of the Dolphins' game against the Buffalo Bills on Thursday night, let's take a look at Achane's availability.

Is De'Von Achane playing tonight?

According to Miami Dolphins coach Mike McDaniel, De'Von Achane's participation in tonight's game is a game-time decision. Achane is currently listed as questionable with an ankle injury and was a limited participant in Wednesday's practice.

The Dolphins could give Achane playing time tonight, as their Pro Bowl running back Raheem Mostert has been ruled out due to a chest injury. Thus, the Dolphins only have Achane, Jeff Wilson and Jaylen Wright as the healthy backs for the Buffalo Bills' game.

Many observers expect De'Von Achane to suit up tonight.

The Dolphins secured a 20-17 victory over the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1. They were led by a phenomenal Tua Tagovailoa, with the Pro Bowler throwing for 336 yards and a touchdown. Tagovailoa secured a highlight reel play when he launched an 80-yard missile to Tyreek Hill. Miami fans will be hoping for more of that connection as the season progresses.

The Bills were also treated to some QB1 magic in their first game of the season. Josh Allen threw for two touchdowns and rushed for two more as he guided his team to a comeback from a 14-point deficit against the Arizona Cardinals. Allen connected with nine different targets in Week 1 as the Bills made a winning start to life without Stefon Diggs.
