Sunday Night Football is nearly here and from this week onwards, there will be no Sundays without football for the rest of the year. If NFL Kickoff weekend was anything to go by, we're in for a pretty tasty showdown when the Los Angeles Rams travel to Detroit to take on the Lions.
The rebuilding Rams suffered a nail-biting loss to the Lions in the playoffs last season where Stafford's kids were booed. Expect this game to play around multiple storylines as they kick off the SNF schedule.
However, there was some concern regarding Matthew Stafford's injury status three weeks ago. Ahead of the Rams' season opener, here's everything you need to know about the Super Bowl champion QB's fitness.

Is Matthew Stafford injured?
Stafford's hamstring injury gave Rams fans some pause heading into September after he exited a joint practice session with the Cowboys. However, head coach Sean McVay made it clear that it wasn't a long-term issue.
Stafford suited up for the rest of the Rams' practice sessions. The Rams did not list Stafford on their most recent injury report which means he will be good to go against his former team on Sunday night.
Los Angeles Rams vs Detroit Lions injury report for Sunday Night Football
Rams injury report
The biggest name on the Rams' injury report for SNF is Puka Nacua, who is dealing with a knee injury. However, Nacua was a full participant in Wednesday's practice session so he is expected to be fit for the primetime game on Sunday night. Nacua's stats made for impressive reading in a sizzling rookie season where he recorded 105 receptions for 1,486 yards and six TDs in 17 games.
Tre'Davious White was also listed on the injury report but like Nacua, he's also expected to suit up against Detroit.
Detroit Lions injury report
The Lions are relatively healthy heading into Sunday night. The biggest name on their injury report is defensive end DJ Reader, who is dealing with a quad issue. He is officially listed as questionable against the Rams.
