Jaguars vs. Bills Inactives Today: Who is out for NFL Week 3 MNF showdown?

There are two Monday Night Football games in Week 3 of the NFL in 2024, and one of them will feature the Buffalo Bills and Jacksonville Jaguars.

The Jags are off to a 0-2 start after losses to the Miami Dolphins and Cleveland Browns. Occasionally, the team's offense still looks devoid of ideas in QB Trevor Lawrence's fourth season in the league.

If they want to compete with the Houston Texans in the AFC South and make a run at the playoffs, the Jaguars will need better performances from their best offensive players, starting from Week 3.

In contrast, the Bills are the favorites for another AFC East title after thrashing the Miami Dolphins 31-10 in their most recent game.

Buffalo Bills inactives today

Below is the full list of inactive Bills players ahead of the Week 3 prime-time matchup with the Jaguars:

LB Terrel Bernard (Left Pectoral)

CB Taron Johnson (Right Forearm)

Terrel Bernard sustained a pectoral injury in the second quarter of the Week 2 matchup with the Miami Dolphins. The linebacker's injury is probably not as serious as initially believed, though, as Bills coach Sean McDermott said he does not plan to put the player on injured reserve.

McDermott said, "I don't feel like we'll need to go in that direction," but he also indicated that the decision wasn't finalized yet.

CB Taron Johnson, who was absent from the game against Miami, is also unlikely to be placed on injured reserve, according to McDermott. In Week 1 against the Arizona Cardinals, Johnson was hit on a tackle by teammate safety Taylor Rapp, which resulted in a right forearm injury.

Jacksonville Jaguars inactives today

TE Evan Engram (Hamstring)

TE Patrick Murtagh (Ankle)

Shortly after the Bills released their inactives for the Week 2 game against the Cleveland Browns, Evan Engram strained his hamstring during pregame warm-ups, which prevented him from playing in that game.

After he didn't practice all week, the team ruled Engram out for the trip to Buffalo on Saturday. He will now miss his second straight game today, but the severity of his hamstring injury is still unknown.
