Josh Allen gives honest opinion on Chiefs' Super Bowl LVII win - "It's a copycat league"

Josh Allen and the Buffallo Bills are still looking for the taste of a Super Bowl victory. The Kansas City Chiefs won their second in the past four years as they defeated the Philadelphia Eagles 38-35 in Super Bowl LVII on Sunday.

Buffalo has been regarded as one of the top contenders in the AFC for the past five years. As long as Josh Allenn is healthy, they pose a threat to any team in the AFC and are one of the most dangerous teams in the league.

Following the Chiefs' Super Bowl victory, Allen praised Mahomes and the Chiefs and said that the league is a copycat league regarding their success.

Allen said:

"You look at him statistically and what he's been able to do in his first four, five, six years in this league, you know, it's kind of unmatched by anybody. They're the mantra of what you want to be and how you need to do it. Because, again they're just constantly in the AFC Championship Game; he's been in three Super Bowls now. Gotta find ways, it's a copycat league, you gotta find ways to be like them.
"To be the best, you've got to beat the best. We didn't get that opportunity this year in the playoffs. Or we didn't take advantage of our opportunities, I guess you could say."

Allen added that he doesn't want to continue to fall into a pattern of making it into the playoffs but not into the big game:

"You don't want to fall into the same routine, not making it there and going and spending time there. Putting the attention on the wrong thing, I guess you could say. Been there, done that. There's some good money-making opportunities there, but I'm at the point where I'd rather be playing in the game than getting the payoffs."

Josh Allen holds a 4-4 career postseason record with no Super Bowl appearances

Josh Allen has been everything the Bills hoped he would be when they drafted him in the first round of the 2018 NFL draft.

He's led the team in five playoff appearances, all of which were in the past five seasons. He holds a postseason career record of 4-4, and hasn't made it to the Super Bowl yet. He's made it to the AFC Championship once but lost, negating his only chance thus far at a Super Bowl.

At age 26 and being a two-time Pro Bowler and second-team All-Pro, Allen can certainly bring a championship to Buffalo, but he'll have to get over the Chiefs and Mahomes along the way.
