JuJu Smith-Schuster left the Kansas City Chiefs during the 2023 NFL offseason to join the New England Patriots on a three-year $33m deal.

Smith-Schuster leaves Kansas City after helping the team to their second Super Bowl victory. In Super Bowl LVII, they beat the Philadelphia Eagles (38-35). He finished his sole campaign in KC with 933 yards and three touchdowns. He added an additional 89 yards in the Chiefs' playoff run.

The task for Andy Reid now is to replace the production Smith-Schuster brought to the team and to give Patrick Mahomes another weapon outside of All-Pro tight end Travis Kelce.

#1 - Odell Beckham Jr.

One possible route the Chiefs could go is to replace Juju Smith-Schuster with Odell Beckham Jr.

OBJ has been without a team since being released by the L.A. Rams after tearing his ACL in their Super Bowl win in 2021.

Beckham has shown he's still got it, as he was pivotal in the Rams' Super Bowl run. He proved to be an excellent WR2 for Matt Stafford behind Cooper Kupp.

He may well be WR1 with the Chiefs, but would surely play second-fiddle to Travis Kelce, a role that may suit him well.

#2 - Sammy Watkins

Another budget option for the Kansas City Chiefs to replace Juju Smith-Schuster with would be Sammy Watkins.

Watkins is also a free agent. In 2022, he spent time with the Green Bay Packers and Baltimore Ravens.

He, of course, spent time earlier in his career with Mahomes and the Chiefs, winning the Super Bowl back in 2019. Mahomes will already have a rapport with the Clemson alumni, which could force the Chiefs' hand in bringing him back to Kansas City.

#3 - DeAndre Hopkins

The Chiefs could go big in replacing Juju Smith-Schuster by making a trade for Arizona Cardinals' DeAndre Hopkins.

The veteran wideout remains one of the best receivers in the NFL, and both he and the Cardinals have been open about wanting to work out a trade for the All-Pro.

The thought of Hopkins catching passes from Patrick Mahomes is something that will have Chiefs fans drooling and leaving the rest of the NFL green with envy.

The 30-year-old may be in his twilight years, but would almost certainly be WR1 for the Chiefs, and would surely be happy to make the move from AZ to KC.
