On January 26 three years ago, the world lost Kobe Bryant, his daughter Gigi Bryant, and seven others when their helicopter crashed. The accident occurred on a hillside in the Calabasas area, northwest of Los Angeles.

Bryant is an LA Lakers legend who played in Los Angeles throughout his career. However, he still supported teams from his hometown of Philadelphia.

When the Philadelphia Eagles defeated Tom Brady and the New England Patriots in Super bowl LII, Bryant went crazy.

Not often have we seen Bryant celebrate like that, but it was truly a special moment for him as a fan of the Eagles. Brady was on the wrong side of that one as the New England Patriots lost 41-33.

Nick Foles was exceptional during that playoff run for the Eagles, and the 'Philly Special' play will be remembered forever. In that loss to the Eagles, Tom Brady threw for 505 yards and three touchdowns, yet his team's defense wasn't able to contain the Eagles.

Nevertheless, after that loss, Brady went on to win two more Super Bowls. He has now won seven Super Bowls, compared to five NBA championships won by Kobe Bryant.

As stated earlier, Kobe Bryant won five NBA Championships with the Los Angeles Lakers and is regarded as one of the best to play the sport. He is ranked in fourth place when it comes to players with the most points throughout the course of their career in the history of the NBA.

In his 20 seasons in the NBA, Bryant averaged 25.0 points, 5.2 rebounds, and 4.7 assists in 1,346 regular-season games. He was selected to play in 18 All-Star games, won an MVP award and two finals MVP awards. Bryant was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2020.

Bryant's legacy is seen off the court as well. He has inspired many athletes around the world, and many credit their success to the 'Mamba Mentality' that Bryant taught everyone.

Players like Devin Booker and Jayson Tatum have modeled their game on Bryant, and things like these show how great of an impact the Lakers legend has.
