No respect for Tom Brady
At the end of the 2019 season, Tom Brady was fed up with the stoic culture of the New England Patriots and needed a breath of fresh air. He got just that with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Up until 2020, the only other player to switch teams and win a Super Bowl was Peyton Manning, who moved from the Colts to the Broncos.
However, it took Peyton Manning four full seasons to accomplish a Super Bowl victory. It took Tom Brady one year. During that year, Tom Brady had to learn a brand-new playbook. Bruce Arians' offense is one of the most notoriously difficult offenses to learn.
In his first season working with the offense, Carson Palmer threw for 24 touchdowns and 22 interceptions. It took him three seasons to become fully comfortable with the offense. In his third year, Palmer threw for 35 touchdowns and 11 interceptions.
Josh Rosen started out even worse when he threw for 11 touchdowns and 14 interceptions. Tom Brady ended his first season on the offense with more than 4,600 yards, 40 touchdowns and 12 interceptions, the second-best season total of his glittering 20-year career.
