Malik Nabers and CeeDee Lamb sit on opposite ends of the WR spectrum. One is a relatively young veteran now in his fifth season, with multiple accolades and records in his resume. The other is a rookie looking to be his franchise's new top wideout.

On Thursday, the duo will face each other in the first game of 2024. So the question that pops up is: Who has the advantage? This fantasy comparison aims to find out.

The initial verdict on Malik Nabers can be described as "great". In two of three games started, he has had 271 yards and three touchdowns on 23 catches.

His best game was in Week 2, where he dominated the Washington Commanders' secondary with 127 yards and a score from ten catches in an impressive performance that ultimately went to waste when Austin Seibert made his seventh field goal.

He was less dominant in Week 3, catching only eight passes for 78 yards, but he scored twice as the New York Giants defeated the Cleveland Browns. But those expecting another hundred yards on Thursday should set themselves up for disappointment.

Nabers will be facing a strong defense that will do anything to shut him down. There are cornerbacks Trevon Diggs, Caelan Carson, and Jourdan Lewis who will pose a great resistance. Similarly, safeties Donovan Wilson and Malik Hooker could give him a hard time should he try going deeper.

This season so far, it has been a disappointment for CeeDee Lamb. Throughout the first three games, he has hit 90 yards and scored a touchdown just once—against the New Orleans Saints in a lopsided 19-44 loss.

But if there is a time to massively rebound, it is against the Giants and their anonymous secondary. None of the defensive backs could pose a threat since they have already allowed 200-yard passers in the first two games against the Minnesota Vikings and Commanders.

The last time the Giants had a star in the secondary was when they had Landon Collins back in 2018.

Since then, however, the secondary has been full of blown opportunities (Eli Apple being the most notable example), and it has continued well into the 2020s. Thursday will be no different, with Lamb possibly having his first 100-yard game of 2024.
