Marshawn Lynch’s NFL on Xbox ad still one of the most hilarious in league history

Marshawn Lynch - commonly known as 'Beast Mode' - can always get NFL fans laughing. In an NFL throwback that didn't seem that long ago, Lynch starred in an Xbox commercial for the gaming system's NFL game.

In the commercial, the former NFL running back is schooling Professor Chet in what is supposed to be school detention. The commercial is advertising the then-new additions that the game has made by adding Fantasy Football and Next Gen Stats to the game.

'Beastmode' had fun defeating his opponent and even said at one point that he wouldn't want 'these problems'. The commercial then ends with the running back petting a raccoon while sitting on the couch.

"Boy, you don't want these problems!"

Marshawn Lynch was playing for the Seattle Seahawks in 2014 when the commercial first aired. He has now taken his comedic relief to Amazon Prime. He hosts a segment called "Marshawn Lynch N Yo City," which airs every week during Amazon Prime's Thursday Night Football pre-game show. The former NFL running back visits the city of one of the two teams playing in that night's game.

Whether it's visiting the team's mascot, meeting fans, or walking around the city, the former NFL running back seems to have fun no matter where he goes.

How long did Marshawn Lynch play in the NFL?

Running back Marshawn Lynch played three seasons at the University of California, Berkeley, for the Golden Bears. He was then drafted by the Buffalo Bills with the 12th overall pick in the 2007 NFL Draft. He was subsequently traded to the Seattle Seahawks in October 2010 in exchange for a fourth-round pick and a conditional pick.

He had two seasons with over 1,000 rushing yards with the Buffalo Bills before the trade. As a member of the Seattle Seahawks, he rushed for 1,000 yards in four consecutive seasons between 2011 and 2014. He and the Seahawks won Super Bowl XLVIII and made the playoffs six times.

He announced his retirement from the NFL after the 2015 season, but after a year off from playing football, he signed with the Oakland Raiders in 2017. In 2018, he retired again, but made yet another return in 2019. The 2019 season was the last season he played in the NFL.

He played in 12 NFL seasons, recording 10,413 rushing yards, 2,214 receiving yards, 85 rushing touchdowns, and nine receiving touchdowns in 149 games.
