Mike Evans' fantasy outlook: Is he a good fantasy pick for Week 15?

Mike Evans of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers caught four of his nine targets for 44 yards in last week's loss to the San Francisco 49ers.

That was yet another unimpressive Evans box score. However, the outcome could have been very different if a 68-yard touchdown by Donovan Smith had not been nullified in the first quarter due to a holding call. Following this, both Mike Evans' and Tampa Bay's fortunes deteriorated.

Due to Tom Brady's struggles, Evans has been limited to fewer than 60 yards in every one of his last five games. In Week 15, as Tampa Bay looks to tie the Cincinnati Bengals in points, Evans and the Bucs will attempt to get back to winning ways.

Mike Evans' stats and fantasy prediction for Week 15

Mike Evans is the first player in league history to have started his career with eight seasons in a row of 1,000 yards receiving. He is currently in his ninth year, but with 4 games left, he has only accumulated 805 yards receiving.

Evans has so far averaged 67.1 receiving yards per game this season. Additionally, he has averaged just 45.6 yards a game in his last five. For the Bucs' offensive unit, the deteriorating connection between him and Tom Brady is becoming an increasing problem.

Mike Evans put up a respectable performance in Week 14 with four catches for 44 yards. He hasn't scored since the fourth round of games, and he's struggled recently. He'll try to right the ship this week against the Cincinnati Bengals in a respectable test.

Evans averages 8.2 targets per game, so it appears that things will improve soon, but Brady and Evans aren't connecting well. Regardless, Evans is a solid mid-tier WR2 option for Week 15.

At this stage of the season, it may be difficult to put your faith in him because the Cincinnati Bengals have one of the most potent wide receiver defenses in the game, allowing only 23.3 fppg, the fourth-stingiest in the league. Just be aware that Evans is unlikely to produce a WR2 return this week, even if you don't have any other choices on your bench.
