10 days after marrying Hailee Steinfeld, Josh Allen makes first statement about marrying his "best friend"

Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen has had a busy few months since the 2024 NFL season concluded. In February, the quarterback was crowned NFL MVP for his efforts last season and then signed a lucrative six-year contract worth $300 million in March.

Just last week, though, the 29-year-old's offseason became even more exciting when he married actress/singer Hailee Steinfeld in Malibu, California. On Tuesday, Allen arrived at Buffalo Bills mandatory mini camp and spoke to reporters for the first time as a married man. He told reporters that his marriage to Steinfeld was the most exciting and important offseason event.

"They've all been big. He then continued by saying, "None other than marrying my best friend. She makes everything easier. I don't really focus on the other stuff, that was the most important decision I'll make in my life, and I made the right one,” Josh Allen told reporters.

Allen hailed Hailee Steinfeld as his 'best friend' and that she makes everything about life 'easier' and raved on how lucky he is to have found her. The couple tied the knot in Malibu, California, the same California seaside town where they got engaged in November.

Josh Allen's HC Sean McDermott 'grateful' for wedding invite

When Josh Allen and Hailee Steinfeld tied the knot on May 31, he did so with some familiar faces from his Buffalo Bills team in attendance. Teammates quarterback Mitchell Trubisky, tight end Dawson Knox and offensive tackle Spencer Brown all watched as Allen and Steinfeld said "I do".

Buffalo Bills head coach Sean McDermott was also in attendance and was asked by reporters about his experience at the wedding.

"I was very grateful to be there," Sean McDermott told reporters.

McDermott's confirmation that he was at the wedding comes just a few days after the couple released their first official wedding photo. The official Instagram account of Steinfeld's blog, the "Beau Society," released a photo and shared the news that the couple was indeed married, with a hint that she would share more details in the future.

The couple sparked rumors that they were dating in May 2023 after being spotted on a date in New York City.
