The NFL world is often given a glimpse at the opinions of Green Bay Packers quarterback Aaron Rodgers. When he does give his opinion, it's never quite what anyone expected. This time around, it's the scandal and investigation surrounding Washington Commanders team owner Dan Snyder.

As Green Bay will play the Commanders this weekend, Rodgers was asked by reporters about the Washington owner. In particular, whether he believes the Snyder situation is harmful to the NFL.

The 38 year old quarterback first said that it was a tough question to answer. This was then followed by an even more bizarre response. Here's what he said to the media in the build-up to the Week 7 game:

“It’s a tough question. There’s been some interesting articles and obviously some headlines that maybe grab your attention. It’s interesting, for sure. But I don’t know how much it harms the league. There’s obviously been some incidents that reflect poorly on certain organizations, which isn’t great for the league. But as you guys all know, the league is going to protect itself, and I’m sure they’ll make the right decision.”

Most topics in the NFL cause a division among opinions, but the Dan Snyder investigation is an exception. The owner faces accusations of creating a toxic work environment and sexual harassment by two former employees. As a result, Snyder is not seeing many favorable headlines.

Aaron Rodgers takes back his comments about the Packers offense

After the Packers suffered their second consecutive loss last week, Aaron Rodgers said he believed the team needed to simplify on offense. At the time, he said it was the no motion, simple plays that helped the offense move the ball down the field. While making his weekly appearance on The Pat McAfee show this week, Rodgers tried to clarify exactly what he was trying to say. Here's how he put it:

"The point was if we're not executing those plans, which, to be honest, they're not the most complex things the majority of the time, then the only slight reaction might be to even simplify things even further. That doesn't mean less motions or checks at the line of scrimmage. It just means, let's make sure these guys can handle what we're doing."

This statement could once again allude to the veteran quarterback being critical of his young wide receivers. The Packers should have a good opportunity to bounce back against the Commanders this weekend, who will be missing quarterback Carson Wentz. We'll see if that's the case in Week 7.
