Aaron Rodgers is failing Packers, Colin Cowherd claims – “He still can’t figure out the leadership thing”

Aaron Rodgers recently accused some Green Bay Packers players of making continuous mistakes. He effectively blamed them for the Packers' poor start to the season. Although he didn't give the names of those players, it was a strong statement from the veteran quarterback.

Many believe Rodgers did a bad thing by putting the blame on his teammates when he himself hasn't been playing well either. Colin Cowherd also believes that Rodgers did a poor thing by throwing his teammates under the bus.

Cowherd claimed that unlike Tom Brady and Russell Wilson (both of whom are still optimistic about their team), Rodgers has panicked and has no answers. Here's what he said on the Herd with Colin Cowherd:

"Aaron Rodgers is having the worst seven games stretch perhaps in his career. What did Aaron say? He went in a YouTube show and called out his coach and called out his teammates. I think guys are making too many mistakes they shouldn't be playing, I gotta start cutting some reps on those guys. And maybe those guys shouldn't be playing, give other guys a chance."

Cowherd continued:

"Saying that publicly is not only a shot at those players, and they all know in that locker room who he's talking about. So you're calling out young guys. It's also calling out Matt LaFleur. What it's basically saying is our coach doesn't even know who to put in the game."

Cowherd criticized Rodgers' leadership skills:

"Aaron Rodgers has been in this league for 15 years and he still can't figure out the leadership thing.”

It will be interesting to see if coach Matt LaFleur listens to his quarterback and makes any changes going forward.

Aaron Rodgers and the Packers could be the surprise story on Sunday

For the first time in his career, Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers are double-digit underdogs. They will face the Buffalo Bills in Buffalo and the AFC powerhouse is a -11.5 point favorite.

Almost everyone believes that the Packers will get blown out by the Bills, as they have lost their last three games. This is the perfect opportunity for Rodgers to redeem himself. If he is able to get a win over Josh Allen in Buffalo, then this could kickstart their season and give them the confidence to play with more freedom.

It will be interesting to see what happens on Sunday when the Packers and the Bills play each other.
