“Aaron Rodgers needs to pipe down” – NFL analyst warns Packers QB against getting carried away after beating Cowboys

Los Angeles Rams v Green Bay Packers
Aaron Rodgers and the Packers have struggled this season

Aaron Rodgers' Green Bay Packers pulled off one of the biggest upsets of the weekend when they defeated the Dallas Cowboys 31-28 in overtime.

Following Sunday's victory, Rodgers said that Sunday's game was the most complete that the Packers have played all season.

"I think it's all week to week. You try and find your identity throughout the season. We hadn't played a four-quarter game all season. I felt like that was really close Sunday."

The Get Up crew responded to Rodgers' comments. They believe that the Packers quarterback needs to not get carried away with the win.

Analyst Chris Canty said:

"Well, Aaron Rodgers needs to pipe down. He's being too loud. But here's the thing, there is a potential for this to be the formula that they replicate down the stretch. Now, I don't think they're gonna have much success against the Titans. But they'll have opportunities against teams that are on their schedule in the back half.
"But what you saw was Aaron Rodgers, being able to utilize the run game to create separation between second and third-level defenders and take shots downfield with play X. And I mean, the Christian Watson touchdowns, two of the three came off hard play action with Aaron Rodgers turning his back to the defense."

Canty added that the last game's success could bring the best version out of Rodgers but he has to be all in.

"And there's a reason why in that game, he averaged more air yards per completion than any game that he's played in this season. 11 yards per attempt in the air and 16 yards per completion in the air. He's only had one game and in his most recent MVP seasons, he actually did that.
"So I think this is something that's going to bring out the best version of Aaron Rodgers. The question is, is he going to be amenable to it? Because we know that's how Madden the floor wants to play. But I don't know if that's necessarily Aaron Rodgers being sold on that game planning. You saw some of that friction on the field when it got to fourth quarter overtime?"

Green Bay Packers and Aaron Rodgers have a lot to do for making to the playoffs

Following their upset win over the Dallas Cowboys, the Green Bay Packers are now 4-6 and are in second place in the NFC North. The Minnesota Vikings are 8-1 and have a comfortable lead over the Packers in the division.

If the season were to end today, Green Bay wouldn't be in the playoffs. After starting the season 3-1, they lost five straight before snapping that streak on Sunday against the Cowboys.

Green Bay will have a few tough games to end their regular season. They face the Tennessee Titans this weekend and then take on the Philadelphia Eagles.

They will then play the Vikings for a second time this season and will also face the Miami Dolphins.
