Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott has played in four games this season and has gone 2-2 as a starter.
In the four games he's played, he's recorded 856 passing yards, six touchdowns, and four interceptions. He's also added 51 rushing yards on 14 attempts with a touchdown.
Matt Mosley and Colin Cowherd discussed Prescott and the Cowboys on The Volume. Mosley compared the quarterback to former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow following their 31-28 overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers in Week 10.
He said that Dak Prescott's numbers on third and fourth down are substandard and that he's being compared to a guy known for throwing wildly.
Mosley said:
"These numbers so far this year on third and fourth down for Dak are Tim Tebow-esque. I mean his completion percentage on third and fourth down, the most crucial downs are somewhere in the neighborhood of 43%. It's embarassing and we gotta bring back a guy who is known for being wildly inaccurate to have a comparison."
Dak Prescott has completed an NFL-low 43.3% of his passes on third and fourth down this season. It is the lowest percentage since Time Tebow in 2011 when he completed just 42.5% of his passes.
The team is 4-1 this season with backup quarterback Cooper Rush when he filled in the void for the injured Prescott.
Tim Tebow still had a worse run in the NFL than Dak Prescott
It's been some time since former NFL quarterback Tim Tebow has been in the news.
Tebow was drafted in the first round of the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos as he flashed in college at the University of Florida.
After the Broncos signed Peyton Manning in free agency, they traded Tebow to the New York Jets on March 21, 2012.
Tebow finished his career completing under 50% of his passes at 47.9%. He threw 17 touchdowns to nine interceptions, with a passer rating of 75.3.
Coming out of college, Tebow was a dual-threat quarterback but never successfully transitioned to the NFL.
The fact that Dak Prescott is being compared to Tim Tebow is a bit concerning for the star quarterback in Dallas.
