Anthony Richardson had shown flashes of brilliance last season before being injured. However, this season, the sophomore QB hasn’t been able to turn around his game and fans are letting him know that.

The Indianapolis Colts have been unable to register a win in the first two weeks of the regular season. With their third game against the Chicago Bears at home, fans had high expectations for the squad.

However, after a pointless first quarter, Richardson threw an interception at the goal line. In the previous two games, the 22-year-old had already thrown four interceptions, and the game was not even halfway done before Richardson made another mistake.

“Hahahaha this is so bad. Like 10 beers deep playing Madden at 3 am bad,” wrote one fan.

Fans made sure the world knew that the throw was not up to the NFL mark.

“This is HS football type sh*t. Wtf is he thinking,” wrote one fan.
“Worst interception I've seen in a LONG time,” wrote a fan.
“One of the most mind numbingly stupid throws I have ever seen,” wrote another fan.

Anthony Richardson on a tight rope at the Colts

The Colts have given another lifeline to the youngster by declaring him the starting QB. However, the franchise does not lack quality options to switch him out of the playing squad. Apart from Richardson, the Colts bolstered their QB bench earlier this year by signing veteran Joe Flacco.

Flacco won the NFL Comeback Player of the Year award last season. At the Cleveland Browns, after multiple injuries, the 39-year-old got the starting job in Week 13 and took the team to the playoffs. He could be a worthy contender if Richardson doesn’t shape up his performances.
