The Chargers and Jaguars had previously met in Week 3 of the season on September 25. Jacksonville dominated from start to finish, winning the game 38-10.

In the first meeting, running back James Robinson ran for 100 yards and a score. But he is no longer a Jaguar. The Chargers were also without wide receiver Keenan Allen, who will be active this weekend. Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrance completed 28 of 39 passes for 262 yards and threw for three touchdowns and zero interceptions.

Trevor Lawrence and 'Bolts' quarterback Justin Herbert will be playing in their first career NFL playoff game. Lawrence was selected first overall in the 2021 NFL Draft. Herbert was the sixth overall pick in 2020. Both quarterbacks have dealt with some growing pains, but have found their groove this season.

The Jaguars and Chargers will face off this Saturday at TIAA Bank Field in Jacksonville. Kick-off is scheduled for 8:15pm/ET. The winner will advance to the Divisional Round to face the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. They will certainly have their hands full with Patrick Mahomes and company.
